This Privacy Policy explains how 1PROPERTY GROUP LLC ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects personal information when you use SimpleGPS at https://www.simple-gps.com. We are based in the United States. This policy is designed to comply with applicable U.S. privacy laws, including, for California residents, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA.
1. Who we are
1PROPERTY GROUP LLC is the business responsible for personal information about visitors and account owners. Address: 300 NE 12th Ave., Apt 107, Hallandale Beach, FL 33009, United States. Contact: [email protected].
For personal information inside a customer Workspace (e.g. a driver's name attached to a vehicle), the customer is responsible for that data and we process it on their behalf - see our Data Processing Addendum.
2. What we collect
Location and vehicle data. This is the service, so it comes first. For each tracker on the account we receive and store its position (latitude and longitude), speed, course, altitude and reported accuracy, whether the ignition is on, whether the vehicle is moving, and the external and backup battery voltages. From those we derive trips, stops, mileage, and entries and exits from any geofence you draw. We hold the device IMEI and the ICCID of the SIM we supplied.
Where the vehicle publishes them over its diagnostic port we also receive VIN, engine RPM, coolant temperature and fuel level. Which of those arrive depends on the car, not on us.
A position is about a vehicle. When somebody is in that vehicle it is also about them, which is why this policy treats it as personal data throughout, and why the people who can see it are listed below rather than assumed.
Tesla, where you connect one. When you connect a Tesla through Tesla's own sign-in, we read from the car its location and heading every 5 seconds, its speed every 5 seconds, and its odometer, battery level and whether it is charging every 5 minutes. Once you agree to it, we also read when the car is switched on to drive and switched off, for the ignition alarm. We use them for the map, trips, alerts and reports, and keep them like every other position: 365 days of history and 31 days of full route playback. We also hold the access tokens Tesla gives us. Lock, horn and lights are optional: they need a separate command permission, and we send a command only when you press the button. Taking all the permission back in your Tesla account, or unlinking here, stops the reading. Removing only the commands turns off lock, horn and lights; the car keeps sending location until you unlink here or take all the access back. Deleting your account erases this data within 30 days of us acting on your request, and the backup copies expire within a further 30 days, except the one monthly copy, which is kept for up to 90 days.
What we do not collect. Nothing we sell records audio, video or images, and we collect no biometrics. If you send us a photo or a document yourself - in a support message, say - we keep it as correspondence. Nothing we sell has a camera or a microphone, and no tracker we sell can work out who is behind the wheel - there is no driver key, no card and no sign-in to drive. A vehicle record CAN hold a driver's name and phone number, because a customer chose to type them in; that is their data in their workspace, we process it on their behalf, and the Data Processing Addendum governs it.

- Billing data: plan, subscription status (card details are handled by our payment processor, not stored by us).

3. How we use it
- To provide, secure and support the Service.
- To bill and prevent fraud.
- To improve the product via aggregated analytics.
- To send service and, where you opt in, marketing communications.
- To meet legal obligations.
4. Sharing
We share information only with service providers who help us run the Service (hosting, email, analytics, payments), bound by confidentiality and data-protection terms. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. We may disclose information where required by law.
5. Where data is processed
Some of our infrastructure providers process data in the European Union. Where information is transferred internationally, we use appropriate contractual and technical safeguards for that transfer.
6. Retention
Position history is deleted every day against a window: the history period of the highest plan the account has ever held. You can shorten that window in your settings; you cannot lengthen it beyond what the plan gave. Rows older than two days are compacted first, and it is worth being exact about what that removes. Compaction only touches what our rule classifies as standing still: a run of positions under about 1.2 mph that stay within about 100 feet of the same spot collapses to its first and last row, so the arrival and departure time of every stop survives and the thousands of identical rows between them do not. A run only counts while the engine is off, so idling and the moment the engine starts or stops are kept. Positions the rule does not classify as stationary are not thinned - which also means very slow movement under that threshold, a forklift inching within 100 feet say, can be compacted with the stop around it. On current plans route playback is available for 31 days and routes, stops and statistics for 365 days; compaction changes neither period.
Daily backups are kept 30 days, and one copy a month is kept for up to 90 days. Security and audit records are kept 12 months. The record of what a Tesla owner agreed to is kept while their Tesla account stays connected, and 12 months after that. Invoices and accounting records are kept for the period tax law requires, which is longer than everything above - it is why an erasure request cannot remove them, and why we say which records survive rather than promising a clean sweep.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, to access a copy of it, to request correction or deletion, and to opt out of any sale or sharing (we do not sell or share). California residents may exercise these rights and will not receive discriminatory treatment for doing so. To make a request, email [email protected]; we verify requests before acting on them and respond within the time required by law.
8. Children
Accounts are for adults: you must be 18 or older to open one. A parent or legal guardian may use the Service to locate a vehicle driven by their minor child, where the law allows it. The parent makes that decision and is responsible for it, and must stop when the child turns 18 or the law no longer allows it; we process the vehicle's location on the parent's behalf. Children do not use the Service, it is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child. 9. Security
We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords, per-tenant database isolation, access controls and other measures appropriate to the risk.
